Privacy Policy
App: Recipe Vault: Recipe Manager
Effective Date: August 2026
This policy describes the current behavior of Recipe Vault: Recipe Manager. It should be updated if the app later adds accounts, analytics, advertising, cloud sync, or other data services.
1. Data Stored by the App
Recipes, ingredients, cooking steps, favorites, settings, and the image URI references you save are stored locally in the app on your device.
The current app does not provide user accounts, cloud synchronization, an in-app upload service, or an analytics or advertising SDK.
2. Network Requests and Third-Party Services
The INTERNET permission is used to load recipe images from URLs included in recipe data or entered by the user. Those requests go directly to the relevant image host, such as the host named by the image URL.
The host may receive standard connection information, such as an IP address, and may process requests according to its own privacy policy. The app does not send your recipe text, favorites, or settings as part of these image requests.
The app also opens external services when you choose a website, the full privacy policy, an email contact, the Play Store, or Android’s Share action. Once you leave the app or share content, the receiving service or app controls its own processing.
3. Sharing and User-Controlled Disclosure
Recipe sharing and app sharing are initiated only when you select the relevant action. Android presents the available share targets.
Any recipe text or link you share is then handled by the app or service you choose. Do not share information you do not want to disclose.
4. Permissions
INTERNET is used for remote recipe images and external links.
WAKE_LOCK is used only while Cooking Mode is active so the screen can remain on.
Images are selected through Android’s system Photo Picker; the app does not request camera, broad external-storage, or media-library permissions.
The app does not request notification permission and does not currently use a notification or foreground-service timer.
5. Backup, Retention, and Deletion
App backup is disabled in the Android manifest.
Data remains on the device until you edit or delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app.
The app does not provide a remote deletion request because it does not operate a server-side account or recipe store.
Copies created by Android, other apps, or services after you share content are outside the app’s control.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through an account or registration flow.
